Tonight’s run was a run which I really should have done this morning. I actually woke up at 4.30 but thought better of it at the time. Hang-on a minute, I wrote that for yesterday’s run; really, I’m not making this up.
Tonight’s run had some purpose behind it. My car was parked at the Hoppers Crossing Railway Station and somehow I had to pick it up, so I incorporated a 9 km run. No major intentions with tonight’s run, just see how I feel approach (very scientific isn’t it).
Ran a similar style as I did last night and incorporated one fast split. Tonight I decided the fast split should occur along Skeleton Creek knowing I wouldn’t have any traffic to contend with. I’m relatively happy with the split, came in at 3:47 /km.
It was during this particular split Cool Runner, Also Ran (Stephen), was standing on the sidelines. I didn’t notice him until he called out. Sorry Also Ran I couldn’t stop, that would have stuffed my time up. I think that encounter qualifies for an entry in the ‘Non Race - Cool Running sightings’ thread at Cool Running.
