Another early morning run and my last run as a 45 yr old. I was out the door and heading down the road at 4.47 am. Only 8 degrees Celsius and it felt like it as well.
I wasn’t as sluggish this morning. From the 3 km mark for 3 km I upped the ante and was pacing around 4:05 /km. One of the splits was 3:59 /km and so I’m reasonably happy with that. After the 3 km stretch I eased back to 5 min pace for some recovery, after which I put another fast km in at the 7 km mark. The graphs clearly tell the storey.
I might get use to this early morning stuff. One of the reasons I’m running prior to work is that at work the showers are out of action for a couple of weeks.

I may have to get one of these things but i fear it will lead to analysis paralysis!

As a non Garmin wear, can you tell me what streets your 8.5k run are??? Even as a local I haven't exactly worked it out
Good sub 4 min/km pace achieved.
You would probably benefit from a bit more fartlek and tempo running.
