This was a run that shouldn’t have been. I didn’t run this morning as I knew I’d be home earlier than usual today.

It wasn’t looking good all day. I was involved in a meeting today down at Geelong. When my input wasn’t required it was very difficult trying to keep my eyes open. A number of times during these periods I made excuses to leave the room simply to get fresh air and rinse my face. It’s amazing isn’t it, when the topic changed to my area of expertise all of a sudden I wasn’t as tired and felt up to the task.

I got home about 3.30 pm intending to hit the road about 4 pm and do about 16 km maybe more since I had time up my sleeve. My mate, Geoff, turned up and borrowed my trailer. I had to be social and he left about 5 pm.

I revised my distance back to 12 km running along the Werribee River. I was lethargic for the entire run and was glad after 63 minutes when it was over.

I’m definitely having a rest day tomorrow.

No graphs and charts tonight, simply no time, I’ve got other things to do.

I find it is frustrating to be social when it is cutting into your running time.
