Thur 8 Dec 2005 - Werribee River 16 km - Slow

Time of Run : 4.50 pm Course : Home - Werribee River - Home Distance : 16.28 km Time : 1:23:13 Pace : 5:07 /km Max Heart Rate : 143 Avg Heart Rate : 134 12 km, no, no, no 16 km. Nice slow and easy run tonight. On heading out I planned about 12 km tracking along the Werribee River. When I got to my normal turn-off point for a 12 km run I decided to track on along the river to Shaws Rd which then indicated 8 point something kilometres on Mr. Garmin. At that point I turned around and back tracked all the way home. Who are you? At about the 5 km mark, just arriving at the Werribee River a guy in a truck behind me and across the road yelled out my name. I turned around, he waved, I waved and I've got no idea who it was. For the next 5 or so minutes that was on my mind; trying to figure out who the hell it was. After run core exercises. On returning home I finished off with some sit-ups (crunch/twists) 1 x 40 & 2 x 20. Normally I'd do just traditional sit-ups. After this set my abs were burning, a good sign, I think.

Good to see you making use of the Werribee river path. We're building a house near the river. Should bemoving in around Aug 06.

PS: Pleased to say I'm a likely starter on the Willie run on Dec 18th. Looking forward to meeting the gang.
