Easy Run 5 km

Distance 5.22 km 26:51 @ 5:09 /km + 400 sit-ups. Today's session started a little later (5.15 pm) than I was expecting. I was messing about with making home-made energy gels and time escaped me. For something different today I started off with 200 sit-ups prior to my run. My stomach was feeling a little empty - didn't really feel like a hard session but nonetheless I still wanted to hit the road. My only option then was an easy, casual, one leg in front of the other type run. Well that's what I did, running 5.22 km around the streets of Hoppers Crossing. Time taken therefore was not really an issue but for recording sake it took me 26:51 @ 5:09 /km. Heart-rate max 211 (don't know why so high - it was only one spike - see graph) and average was 135 bpm. The weather was reasonable, slight wind but not wet. It had been raining earlier in the day. On return I decided there and then that I'd do another 200 sit-ups. 200 sit-ups takes me about 12 minutes, therefore overall it was a 26 min run plus 24 minutes of sit-ups. I haven't got a six-pack yet, I think it's a two-pack but definately not a slab.
