Just recently I've been running at night, not by design, it's just worked out that way. It's been quite a while since I've run at night and it does have a different feel about it.
Tonights run was just an easy paced run, no intention on any speed type work. This was due to the fact that I had a big dinner (roast beef - who's going to knock that back) about 7 pm.
Mr. Garmin is playing up again as regards the heart rate spikes. About four or five occasions it beeped at me claiming a high heart rate of around 224. I'm still using conductive gel and from last week or so when I started using the gel the HRM hasn't missed a beat. Admittedly I haven't cleaned it with a toothbrush since then (first time). After every run I do put the strap under cold water, give it a good rinsing. It looks like it might have to be a weekly ritual, clean heart strap with a toothbrush.
