Day 5 of P & O Cruise –
Arrived at
I ran an out and back course. The initial plan was to turn around after 45 mins thus making for 1.5 hr run. I carried with me a 600 ml bottle of water and thank god I did. Did I mention the condtions were very, very humid.
After 35 mins the plan of turning around at 45 mins went out the window. I was energy sapped and so turned around. At this point I walked whilst drinking some water and I just couldn’t get myself to run again. I walked for about 4 km and remember running in for the last 2 km. I was stuffed.
When I finished it was off with the socks and runners and straight into the ocean. I was in there for a good 20 mins or so before Cherie wanted to head back to the ship.
Okay, this run was not the smartest move I’ve ever made and I was paying the price the whole day and the following day; just really tired.

I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one that has runs like this! Last night I had to walk the last 2km after I got bitten by a duck. There are times when I just can't do it...not sure why, but just can't.
